DMG Control Systems - Control Systems Sales, Service and Fabrication Expertise

DMG Control Systems Ltd was established in 1979 and provides sales, service and fabrication expertise in industrial process control, mechanical engineering and environmental monitoring. The company specialises in the supply of PLC systems, control software, test rigs and control panels, as well as associated instrumentation. Control products are also distributed on behalf of PMA, Eurotherm, West Instruments, Allen Bradley, and Dynisco.

PLC PROGRAMMING SERVICES

DMG provides PLC programming services, using communications options that include RS232, DH+, DH485, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus and Remote I/O. Various user interfaces are available, ranging from full SCADA to HMI. All control systems are supplied with modem units that enable remote dial-up access, and active-display servers allow access to the plant via the internet.

PC-BASED DATA ACQUISITION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Eurotherm products include Series 5000 complete data acquisition and management systems, which provide local and network access to process data from PCs. Applications include the control of heat-treatment, sterilisation, effluent treatment, and refrigeration processes.

Networked Series 5000 instruments are accessible over a local network, by dial-up connection or via the internet using Bridge 5000, FTP and review software.

Series 5000 'V' systems have the option of screen-builder software, which allows the user to customise the screen layout and the application of trend, bar-graph and numeric information, and Batch 5000 software, which is specially designed for batch-specific logging of data.

HOT-RUNNER CONTROL SYSTEMS

PMA products include hot-runner control systems.

HRC KS control systems are compact units with individual controllers, designed for monitoring heating current and solid-state relays. Systems have start-up, lowering, boost and automatic self-tuning functions.

HRC 800 BT control systems are multi-loop units with an integrated or remote-operating terminal, and provide trend display for all control zones, memory for up to six recipes, and error messaging in plain text.

HRC 800 control systems provide touch-screen operation, and can include a selection of start-up programs, intelligent diagnostic programs, and trend display and error messages in plain text.

PROCESS CONTROLLERS

West Instruments' products include West 2300 1/32 DIN process controllers. Their large-format operator displays come with colour indicators to identify control, alarm and configuration status. Configuration of the instrument can be achieved through a dedicated port, and no hardware reconfiguration is required. Electrometric switches and a simplified menu set-up improve the operator interface.

NEREIDES AND POLLUTION CONTROL SYSTEMS (PCS)

DMG is a supplier of Nereides and Pollution Control Systems (PCS). Products supplied by DMG include online analysers for TOC, ammonia and nitrate monitoring, oil-In-water and oil-on-water monitors, turbidimeters, O2 measuremnet instruments, level and flow monitors.

Online analysers - Biotector analysers, supplied by PCS, incorporates self cleaning technology that provides accurate monitoring of TOC and are suitable for may applications in industrial and municipal waters, from demanding influent streams to cooling water monitoring. Biotector analysers pump a sample from the process stream into a reaction chamber. A patented, two-stage oxidisation process oxidised the organic material in the sample. The CO2 formed in the oxidation process is monitored by the patented IR detector.

Hydrocarbons detection products - Oilspy systems supplied by Nereides, use a unique polymer membrane to detect floating hydrocarbons. Aplications include drinking water protection, industrial plant monitoring, rainwater resevoir monitoring and water treatment plant protection. Oilspy detectors have a polymer membrane that dissolves in the presence of a pollutant and triggers an alarm via a volt-free contact, radio or telephone link. A spill only has to be 0.1mm thick to be detected.
