HAWK's electromagnetic flowmeters are suitable a wide range of applications in the water and wastewater industry. The company also supplies battery mag meters with data logging.
Handheld ultrasonic flowmeter
HAWK's flowmeter technology can be applied virtually to a wide range of measurement operations. A variety of liquid applications can be accommodated such as ultra-pure liquids, potable water, chemicals, raw sewage, reclaimed water, cooling water, river water and plant effluent.
The non-intrusive, handheld ultrasonic flowmeters is ideal when verifying flow rates.
HAWK is able to supply analytical equipment to measure, Ph/ORP (memosens technology), free / residual chlorine, oxygen, conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS) and turbidity. A large range of sensors are available.
Pressure and level transmitters
HAWK has also released a wide range of pressure and level transmitters in a stainless-steel design. Both analog and 'Intelligent' series are available with HART® Protocol and Profibus PA.
Many certificates are available, such as ATEX Ex, IECEx, SIL2, EHEDG and 3A food approvals, marine type approvals such as DNV, BV, Lloyds, GL and RINA. More than 50 industrial process connections are available.
FlowMaster magnetic flow meters
HAWK has also released a range of remote and integral magnetic flow meters in Australia in diameters from 2.5mm to 600mm. Larger diameter meters and various liner material, including ceramic, are available on request. A large selection of electrode material and process connections are available on request.
Power supply selections range from 24V DC to 240V AC. HART, MODBUS & PROFIBUS communication protocols are available. Output options are between 4mA and 20mA, pulse and relay.
Totalised and instantaneous flow values can be achieved via settings within the local or remote three-line keypad display. These flow meters can be used in a diversified range of applications, including clean water, chemical and slurry processes.
Non-intrusive Acoustic Wave transmitters, ultrasonic level transmitters and level gauges
The Sultan acoustic wave series is a non-intrusive acoustic wave transmitter that is ideal for level measuring liquids, slurries and solids in some of the most difficult environments, such as steam, foam and dust. Where the sensor is located, the transmission of acoustic waves ensures minimal losses through the environment. HAWK can provide remote, integral and SMART units of this series.
Capable of operating as a two, three or four-wire system, the Sultan is a low-frequency acoustic device with a self-cleaning function.
HAWK also provides the compact MiniWave loop-powered ultrasonic level transmitter for the continuous measurement of liquids, which has a 12m measuring range, suitable for multiple applications.
The Centurion guided wave radar (GWR) is ideal for the measurement of liquids, powders and granules up to 35m. It is unaffected by pressure, viscosity, temperature, vacuum, foam, dust and coating of the probe device.
The Magnetic level gauge offers real-time measurement for level and interface using principles of magnetic coupling and buoyancy.
Self-cleaning blocked chute protection switches
The Gladiator acoustic switch uses send and receive acoustic wave technology for blocked chute and heavy machinery detection, and works as a point level switch in difficult conditions such as sludge handling.
The acoustic wave technology has an added self-cleaning feature, required by applications when material has the potential to coat or stick to side walls. The Gladiator microwave offers point level detection of most solid materials. It can be used in any application where microwave energy is absorbed by monitored substances, replacing the need for traditional contact switching devices.
Sonar bed level system, wastewater clarifier and thickener control
The HAWK ORCA sonar system simultaneously measures up to two density interfaces, generally the bed level / return activated sludge (RAS) blanket and floc / fluff layer. The sonar produces a high-power concentrated beam and provides critical plant control to optimise performance.
The Sultan's low-frequency sonar measures and controls thickeners and wastewater clarifiers. The easy-to-use sonar system provides critical plant control, optimising performance.
Point-level switches for powder, slurry and liquid
The Gladiator pump protection switch is ideal for applications when minimal protrusion on pipe or wall mounting is required. The point level switch can also be used to detect the presence of liquids to prevent the pump from running dry.
The all-round Gladiator admittance point level switch detects levels of powder, slurry and liquids. The unit measures the capacitance, or admittance, between the probe and the wall of the container and operates in tough industrial environments, with a high-immunity to product build-up.
HAWK's Gladiator conductivity switches are ideal for applications involving conductive liquids. They are used in food and beverage processing, as well as chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and water / wastewater treatment plants.
The versatile Gladiator vibration switches are used for a wide range of liquids and solids, making them suitable for applications that require level detection. These include pump control and high or low-level alarms, for the presence or absence of materials.
HAWK's rotating switch vane is suitable for multi-purpose and safe level monitoring in all types of containers and silos. It is driven by a slow-speed synchronous geared motor. The rotating switch vane can be used with powders and all bulk materials as a simple point switch.
