New Drum Screen

10 March 2006

The Roto-sieve is a patented drum screen with a successful proven track record for screening flows prior to membrane filtration or MBR's. The screen is already in service in the USA protecting equipment from the worlds leading membrane filter manufacturers including Koch, Kruger, Kubota and Zennon.

The screen is capable of screening down to 0.6mm and due to its enclosed design there is no chance of bypassing making it the perfect choice for protecting membranes. Flow rates vary according to the perforation size of the screen but model capacities range from 1-290 l/s.

The screening drum is manufactured from stainless steel perforated plate with a choice of perforation diameters from 2.5mm down to 0.6mm. Influent is delivered to the inside of the drum. The drum rotates on trunion wheels and is driven by an external cog gear motor mounted out of the flow. As the drum rotates fluids pass through the perforations and forward to treatment. Solids are removed and dewatered from the drum by a fixed blade augur.

Screen cleaning is effected by means of a rotating brush and spray system. The Roto-sieve is fully enclosed to prevent splashes and comes equipped with a spigot connection for odour control if required.

The Roto-sieve is also used in a variety of other applications including: - Sludge dewatering, Pulp and Paper Mills, Poultry, Fish Processing, Vegetable Preparation, Slaughterhouses etc.

The Roto-sieve screen is now available in the UK exclusively from CSO Technik who are able to supply a complete turnkey package.
