Valves become intelligent
New GEMÜ instrumentation enables better integration of pneumatic and electric valves used in all areas of modern process control systems. In addition to proven position and process controllers, a new compact miniature positioner and universal valve combi switchboxes with integrated air control and feedback system for pneumatic linear and quarter turn actuators will be shown. These devices which support common signals and field bus systems can also be easily retrofitted to other valve makes. The latest GEMÜ generation of pneumatic and electric valves have actuators with integrated control, regulating and communication modules so that additional controls are no longer required. Their high functionality and user friendliness enable very quick commissioning and short downtimes. These devices offer automatic parameterization functions, simple logical menu guidance, modern interfaces and standardized systems that enable error analysis and alarm functions.
These pioneering developments are based on over 40 years of valve manufacturing experience and a constant dialogue with plant developers and operators. For the detection, measurement and control of volumetric flow, flow rates, level, pressure and temperature various measuring devices and transducers are available. The cooperation between GEMÜ and FESTO bridges the gap between piping construction, plant control and process control systems. Plant designers, constructors and operators can now rely on a complete concept where both manufacturers have united their expertise. In addition to instrumentation and control devices GEMÜ is also exhibiting its state-of-the-art valve systems for inert, corrosive, clean, contaminated, gaseous and liquid working media.
