INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PRODUCT SUPPLY

Our products and services include:

  • Inorganic primary coagulants
  • Organic primary coagulants
  • Extensive range of synthetic polymers and flocculants
  • Polymer preparation systems and dosing pumps
  • Fully automatic foam control systems
  • Anti-foams
  • Activated sludge treatment
  • Laboratory and on-site support

We are currently involved across a wide range of industries e.g. ready made meals, vegetable processing, abattoirs, sand and gravel, recovered aggregate, land reclamation, metal plating and anodising. We are able to provide solutions for any water-based industrial effluent or sludge that requires solid-liquid separation.

DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION AND CLARIFICATION

DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) is used extensively in many industries e.g. the food industry, meat industry and road tanker washing. A primary coagulant is generally used to de-stabilize any colloidal material before the addition of a high molecular weight polymer. The resulting sludge is skimmed off the water's surface and either goes for further de-watering or can be taken offsite by tanker.

Clarification - e.g. paper industry, sand and gravel, vegetable washing and processing solid material is separated from the liquid phase by flocculation. The clean water from the clarifier is often recycled back to be used as primary wash-water in many applications.

SLUDGE DE-WATERING

Many industrial sludges are thickened before disposal, usually by either belt press, centrifuge or filter press. GPC Associate high molecular weight flocculants can greatly increase the efficiency of all these processes. The use of an organic primary coagulant in conjunction with a flocculant can greatly enhance the results given on a belt press or filter press.

FOAM CONTROL

Foam can cause many problems within a process. It can cause a slip hazard by overflowing onto the floor. It can block filters, cause pumps to air lock and confuse instruments such as level sensors. GPC Associates Limited can provide a complete range of anti-foam products that will deal with foam in any industrial application. In order to fully optimize these products we can also provide a completely automatic anti-foam dosing system.
