India-based SPML Infra has received two water management and treatment contracts worth Rs1.6bn ($36m).
The first Rs1.36bn ($30.5m) contract, from Goa Water Supply and Sewerage Board, involves expanding a water treatment plant in Salaulim, Goa.
Under the five-year contract, SPML will design, supply, install, construct, test, trial run and commission the water treatment plant, the water filter and clarifier, the clear water reservoirs and pumps at the intake, and the clear water pumping stations.
The project is to be executed in a joint venture with SMC Infrastructure and will be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
Dehradun Municipal Corporation has also awarded a RS245m ($5.5m) contract to SPML for an integrated solid waste management project.
Under the project, SPML will design, construct, operate and manage all aspects of municipal solid waste for a period of 14 years.
