Bluewater Bio International has completed the installation of the HYBACS plant at the Botleng wastewater treatment facility in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The plant, which will be commissioned by the end of this month, will serve 17,000 residences in the town of Delmas and is owned and operated by the Victor Khanye Local Municipality.
Moedi Consulting Engineers served as the consulting engineers for the project.
Bluewater Bio secured the project through its licensing agreement with Headstream Water Holdings.
A future extention to the plant is expected to cost in $2.8m, brining the capacity to 7,000m3 of water.
