Mexican State to Invest in Water Projects

The Mexican state of Chihuahua will invest Mex$987m ($77m) to implement wastewater treatment projects in Ciudad Juarez.

The project includes the expansion of the city's two existing plants and the construction of a third plant.

The federal government of Mexico will provide Mex$204m ($16m) for the project, while the state government of Chihuahua will invest Mex$464m ($36m) and the North American Development Bank will provide the remaining Mex$318m ($25m).

The project after completion will provide 100% of the city's wastewater treatment services, according to bnamericas.com.
