The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is planning 57 projects worth Rs2.47bn ($50m) to improve water supply in the city of Ahmedabad in India.
AMC has planned 19 water distribution stations and 11 underground water tanks to increase the water storage and distribution in the city, reports Daily News & Analysis.
The water supply and sewerage management committee has already commenced work on 34 projects worth Rs1.82bn ($36m).
The state agency is planning to develop water distribution centres the new west zone of the city, which will provide water supply to residents in that area.
An investment of Rs300m ($6.09m) will be made for increasing the capacity of Jaspur water treatment plant from 275 million litres a day to 400 million litres a day.
