US-based APTwater and European firm Rochem have merged to form a new advanced water technology firm.
The aim of the merger is to deliver reliable, clean water from some of the challenging resources in the industry.
Rochem deploys patented membrane modules for integrated treatment systems to clean water that would ruin ordinary membranes. These are developed by Rochem and Sojitz's joint venture Sepro Membranes.
APTwater develops patented technology to destroy tough-to-treat contaminants such as pharmaceutical by-products, trace organics, nitrates and hexavalent chromium.
The new firm will combine both firms' proven solutions, market-ready innovations and ideas under development.
