CH2M HILL to complete water reclamation facility in Arizona

CH2M HILL, a global engineering company, is expected to complete construction on a new water reclamation facility worth $172m in Pima County, Arizona, US by 2014.

The new Pima County water reclamation facility will replace the existing Roger Road water reclamation facility.

CH2M HILL is developing the water project as part of the design-build-operate (DBO) contract signed with the County and will operate the facility for 20 years.

The proposed facility will use wastewater treatment technology that will produce the effluent, prevent odors and maintain water quality and the environment in future.

The facility was about 40% complete in March 2012 and is expected to be operational in mid-2014.

It will provide treat around 32 million gallons per day of waste water, and is expected to have a future capacity of 48 million gallons per day.
