The Government of Israel and the Mexican national water authority Conagua have signed a water technology cooperation agreement.
Under the four-year agreement, Israel and Conagua will share their expertise and improve water efficiency in the irrigation sector, reports BNamericas.
The agreement will cover research and control of water resources, irrigation and water reuse technologies, metering and leakage, desalination, construction and maintenance of water infrastructure.
The agreement will also cover standardisation of products used in distribution systems and ways to improve efficiency, in addition to the development of monitoring and recycling technology for use in the industrial and urban sectors.
