Cosanpa to improve Brazilian state's water supply

The state government of Pará in Brazil will provide R$225m ($119m) through water utility Cosanpa to improve water supply throughout the state.

A Cosanpa spokesperson said that the six municipalities in which improvements will be made are Belém, Ananindeua, Marituba, Alenquer, Moju and Castanhal, reports bnamericas.com.

Cosanpa will receive R$22.7m from the state government and the remaining funds will come from federal savings bank Caixa Econômica Federal.
