Peterborough Utilities Commission will integrate Elster water meters into its existing EnergyAxis metering infrastructure network.
Elster will supply and install 27,000 of its C700 and AquaMaster commercial water meters, which are equipped with two-way radios in residential and commercial / industrial locations across Peterborough, UK.
The new water meters will help the utility to eliminate the need to install a separate network for water and the associated back office infrastructure and billing interface.
Through the two-way smart metering network, Peterborough Utilities will deliver equitable billing to customers and gather water data to better understand the demands on its distribution system and enable the ability to pinpoint leaks within its distribution system.
