Formation Fluid Management's Formation Fluids Mobile Water Treatment Unit has received a contract from a Canadian oil and gas producer in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Under the contract, Formation Fluids will clean, desalinate and surface discharge 10,000m3 of previously impacted surface water to Alberta Environmental Standards.
The treated water will be returned to its natural source with minimal impact to the environment.
Treatment of the produced water at the site will reduce the need for trucking and disposal in excess of 70%, minimising road usage and reducing associated risks during the transportation process.
The project and contract is expected to be completed within ten days and will provide a good field demonstration of Formation Fluids' technology and capabilities.
