Fountain Quail Water Management, a subsidiary of Aqua-Pure Ventures, has developed a new system for the treatment of wastewater at oil and gas fields.
The new ROVER System is designed for the primary treatment of shale gas flowback at or near the source, and can treat up to 10,000 barrels of flowback and produced water per day.
The system will remove suspended solids and soluble organics from shale gas wastewater, and produce clean brine, which can be reused as hydraulic fracturing fluid.
The ROVER system consists of a low-profile clarification trailer and an auxiliary support trailer.
Aqua-Pure Ventures chairman Richard Magnus said that the system will allow the operators to reduce their water management costs and the environmental impact of their operations.
