GE to supply SPS pumps to ProWater's SWD systems

3 November 2011

General Electric has received a contract to build key components for ProWater's Centerline modular saltwater disposal (SWD) and deep injection well (DIW) systems

ProWater develops technology for disposing saltwater produced from oil and gas wells.

GE Oil & Gas will supply horizontal surface pumping systems (SPS), a multistage centrifugal pumps designed for high pressure, low-to-medium-flow, environmentally sensitive applications to ProWater.

These SPS pumps will used in conjunction with the Centerline SWD system, to inject produced saltwater into deep injection wells.

The Centerline SWD system will use green technology to separate oil, water and other byproducts produced in oil and gas operations.

ProWater president Keith Morlock said the firm will work closely with GE to speed up production of the modular SWD/DIW design, to meet demands from Bakken Shale oil and gas producers.
