Spanish firm Obrascon Huarte Lain (OHL) has signed an agreement with Korean firm GS Engineering & Construction, to sell its subsidiary OHL Medio Ambiente Inima for €231m.
OHL Medio Ambiente Inima is a Spanish desalination unit which provides desalination services in Spain by reverse osmosis and is currently involved in plants with a production capacity equal to or greater than 200,000m³ a day.
The unit is involved in all stages of the projects it undertakes, which includes design, technology, construction, financing, operation and maintenance.
The deal is part of OHL's plan to reduce its net recourse debt, with the possibility of the purchase price increasing in future subject to terms and conditions.
