H2O Innovation wins three contracts for water and wastewater treatment systems

Canadian membrane filtration specialist H2O Innovation has won two new contracts in Canada and one new contract in the US for water and wastewater treatment plants.

With a cumulative value of $7.6m, the contracts raises the firm’s sales backlog to $50.8m excluding its specialty products and services business lines PWT, Piedmont and H2O Innovation Maple.

Under the first contract awarded by Englishman River Water Service, the firm will be responsible for the design, manufacture and commission of a two stage ultrafiltration (UF) system with a total of five trains to purify water extracted from the Englishman River.

The system, when installed, will have a capacity to deliver 4.2MGD (16,000m³/day) of potable water to the city of Parksville in British Columbia, Canada. It will also have the provision to be expanded to produce 12.7MGD (48,000m3/day) to meet current and future water demands of the city.

It will be equipped with FiberFlex skid and recently acquired Clearlogx technology, the firm said.

The second contract is for the pre-selection and supply of six trains and a UF system to treat tertiary effluents from the Valencia water reclamation plant of the sanitation districts of Los Angeles county in California, US.

The equipment will also feature FiberFlex skid technology and have the capacity to produce up to 10.3 MGD (38,989m³/day) of water, which is expected to be reused for agricultural applications.

The third contract allows the firm to design, manufacture and commission a wastewater treatment system for the site of Lower Fort Garry in the Canadian province of Manitoba.

The system will be equipped with biological Bio-Wheel process technology for the treatment of municipal wastewater and to ensure nutrient removal at low operating costs. It is expected to have a treatment capacity for 7,925 to 15,850 gallons/day (30 to 60m³/day) of wastewater.
