HaloSource selects Enviroclin to promote its water remediation technology

3 December 2012

US-based clean water technology company HaloSource has signed an agreement with water solutions provider Enviroclin Bio Solutions, to market and sell its HaloKlear dry blend concentrates for water remediation application in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Brunei.

As per the terms of the agreement, Enviroclin will get the exclusive rights of the HaloKlear biopolymers and hybrids technology for resale, distribution and applications in municipal water treatment systems.

The technologies also have applications in construction, dredging, oil and gas, industrial, mining and erosion control.

The HaloKlear technology removes sediments in surface water, a vital step in water treatment process, and reduces suspended particulates to result in clean water.

HaloSource CEO Martin Coles said the company entered the agreement as a part of its business strategy, which is to grow and expand its technologies across the world through collaboration with strategic partners.

"We are excited at this development with another major partner in South East Asia particularly as this now takes our unique HaloKlear biopolymer and hybrid technology into municipal water pre-treatment application, a new and rapidly growing segment of the environmental water space," Coles added.

Enviroclin Bio Solutions Sales and Marketing director James Khaw said the company was searching for a fast settling, green alternative.

"After an extensive search of products available, we discovered that the HaloKleardry concentrate in combination with a commodity coagulant delivered the desired results at a price point that would reduce their total cost of operation," Khaw added.

"We are now getting the certifications necessary for drinking water usage."
