Malaysian firm Hock Seng Lee (HSL) has received a MYR90.28m ($29m) contract for the construction of a new rural water treatment plant in Sarawak on the island of Borneo.
The company will deliver the project in 17 months for the Regional Corridor Development Authority, as part of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy programme.
HSL will construct and commission a pump house, chemical house, aerators, flocculation tanks, sedimentation tanks and other filtration process facilities.
The contract will also involve mechanical and electrical works, earthworks, drainage and retaining structures, piling, piping and construction of the treatment plant and associated works.
