Innovyze to provide InfoWorks ICM solution to MSD

10 November 2011

The Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) has selected Innovyze's InfoWorks ICM for the sewerage and drainage modelling requirements within its combined sewer system in Kentucky, US.

InfoWorks ICM will be utilised for planning and analysing the surface and subsurface interactions that are inherent with a combined stormwater and sanitary sewer system.

The solution will enable integrated catchment modeling on a platform that incorporates both urban and river catchments.

The full integration of 1D and 2D hydrodynamic modeling techniques will allow users to model the above and below ground elements of these catchments with unique flexibility and detail.

Justin Gray, MSD senior engineer, said the modeling platform enables the utility to integrate a surface grid over the sewer system, the 29-mile flood protection system, and the Ohio River and Beargrass Creek systems.
