Itron and i2O to expand water solutions offerings

US-based water and energy solutions provider Itron has teamed up with UK-based i2O Water to offer a smart pressure management solution.

i2O Water is a developer of smart pressure management solutions for global water distribution networks. The company uses innovative technology to minimise non-revenue water (NRW) across networks by reducing physical water loss.

Under the five-year agreement, Itron will be distributing i2O’s smart pressure management products.

The collaboration is expected to expand Itron’s water solutions portfolio and boost its NRW offering, thereby helping utilities to effectively manage global water resources.

Itron has its own suite of NRW products, including acoustic leak detection, district metering and analytics.

i2O’s patented solution helps in tracking day-to-day changes in water flow and offers visibility to water utilities into their network performance and remote control of pressures, which reduces operating costs, improves customer service and extends the life of network infrastructure for the facilities.
