Kinetico acquires Nimbus Water Systems

Water treatment solutions company Kinetico has acquired US-based commercial and residential water treatment products manufacturer Nimbus Water Systems.

The acquisition builds on Kinetico's acquisition of Selecto last year.

Through the strategic move, the company expects to combine its water softening and purification products with Selecto’s water filtration and media technologies, and Nimbus' reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

Nimbus will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kinetico and is expected to strengthen the latter's position in the water care segment.

Kinetico CEO and president Toby Thomas said: "Nimbus is a terrific addition to the Kinetico family with its market-leading reverse osmosis systems and technology.

"With Kinetico, it will continue to create the most effective and efficient water treatment solutions furthering our strong position in commercial and residential markets worldwide."

Nimbus is engaged in designing and manufacturing reverse osmosis water treatment systems for homes and businesses.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Nimbus Water Systems president Anthony Capone said: " Both Kinetico and Nimbus share a passion for innovative water treatment solutions and have a commitment to service excellence making the combination a natural fit."

Anthony and Patti Capone will continue their association with the organisation, while Nimbus will continue to operate from its location in Temecula, California.
