Kurita Water Industries has signed a joint research agreement with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency to study a new water recycling system.
The joint research will conduct a verification test for a future-type water recycling system inside the Japanese experiment module Kibo on the International Space Station.
The system will collect and treat moisture generated inside the space station and reliably improve its quality to a drinkable level.
A study of the basic technologies and treatment methods will be carried out by the joint research venture.
