Utility Service Affiliates, a subsidiary of Middlesex Water Company, has signed an agreement with Sunoco Logistics Partners to operate the Eagle Point Biological wastewater treatment facility in the US state of New Jersey.
The initial agreement requires Utility Service Affiliates to oversee the daily operation of the industrial wastewater treatment facility at Sunoco Logistics's refined products terminal at Eagle Point in Westville, New Jersey.
Middlesex Water Company president and CEO Dennis Doll said: "This agreement is an additional example of the kind of solutions we provide for not only municipal and developer clients through our full suite of service offerings, but also for industrial clients as well. We are pleased with the opportunity to share our team's expertise with Sunoco Logistics, to assist in protecting the environment, to work to reduce energy consumption and also to enhance operational efficiency."
Middlesex Water Company is an investor-owned water utility, engaged in providing water and wastewater, in addition to other related services, primarily in central and southern New Jersey, as well as in the state of Delaware.
The utility provides regulated and unregulated services through various subsidiary companies.
