Nephros to incorporate ultrafilters in WorldWater’s drinking water systems

Nephros has signed a partnership agreement to incorporate its ultrafilters into WorldWater & Solar Technologies’ solar-powered drinking water systems.

The power management and interconnection technology of WorldWater facilitates the development of utility scale solar electric parks that can operate large water and communication applications.

WorldWater & Solar Technologies chairman and CEO Quentin Kelly said: “By integrating Nephros ultrafilters into our solar-powered drinking water systems, WorldWater continues to provide its customers with unique capabilities that leverage our solar power drive technology.”

The integration will block potentially harmful water-borne bacteria and viruses, thereby ensuring additional reassurance to end users.

Nephros North America sales director Shane Sullivan said: “We are very excited about our partnership with WorldWater and an additional opportunity to help protect people from potentially contaminated water sources.

“We are constantly looking for ways to leverage our products’ water safety capabilities outside of the medical space. WorldWater’s drinking water systems driven by their sophisticated solar power control technology, enabling operations in remote areas of the world, is an ideal fit for our products.”

The ultrafilters technology has been incorporated into water projects both on and off the power grid, in various locations across the world.
