NRC provides loan for water projects in Indian State

The National Capital Region (NCR) planning board of India has approved three water projects worth Rs1.1bn($20.8m) to improve water supply and sewerage facilities in the Gurgaon district of Haryana.

Two projects will carried out to improve water supply schemes in Farrukh Nagar and Pataudi and the third will improve the sewerage system in Farrukh Nagar, reports Times of India.

NCR has allocated about Rs700m ($13.2m) for projects in Pataudi and Rs280m ($5.3m) for Farrukh Nagar.

Work will also include the building of three boosting stations and distribution pipelines of various sizes and will ensure a water supply of 5.27 million litres a day near village Badli.

In Pataudi, the project will include an intermediate boosting station and a water treatment plant with a capacity of 17 million litres a day.
