Manila Water has awarded a $62m contract to OTV and civil contractor Sta.Clara to design and develop a sewage treatment plant in Manila, the Philippines.
The plant, which features a new inlet facility, will have a processing capacity of 100,000m³ per day.
The facility will also have a new sludge dewatering facility and an odour-treatment system, and will implement noise-abatement measures.
The project will be carried out under Manila Water's programme to expand the city's wastewater collection network to improve the water quality of Marikina River.
OTV is a subsidiary of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies.
