The Pennsylvania State Government has allocated $84m for 18 non-point source, drinking water and wastewater projects in 14 counties of the US state.
The government will provide $69m in loans and $15m through grants to protect Pennsylvania residents from waterborne disease and to improve the quality of the lakes and rivers.
Lancaster County will receive a loan of $15.25m to upgrade its drinking water facility and for other projects to prevent sewage entering waterways during wet weather.
The non-point source projects include Berks County conservation district and Lancaster County conservation district.
The counties to received loans under the water projects include Adams County, Lancaster County, Monroe County and Somerset County.
Wastewater project loans will be allocated to Armstrong County, Beaver County, Berks County, Blair County, Lebanon County, Luzerne County, Lycoming County, Northumberland County, Mount Carmel Municipal Authority, Venango County and Westmoreland County.
