Power Plus Communications (PPC) and Siemens Metering, Communications & Services (MCS) have completed the pilot installation of smart water meters at Chips Apartments in Manchester, UK.
The project involves combining Siemens' AMR water meters with PPC's Broadband Powerline technology, which is compatible for multi-home development.
Siemens MCS global headquarters product group's Ian Sykes said that the pilot demonstrates the ability of the technology to help UK water utilities move from conventional metering to a smart infrastructure.
