Construction firm Record Steel and Construction (RSC) has received a $21.3m contract to undertake upgrade works at the Minidoka Dam at Snake River in Idaho, US.
The company will replace the spillway and two irrigation head works at the dam, according to a contract awarded by the US Bureau of Reclamation.
Work also includes demolishing the existing 2,237ft-long pier and stop log structure.
RSC will begin work in November 2011 and plans to complete the upgrade by 2015.
The project is co-financed by Minidoka and Burley Irrigation Districts and the federal government, reports waterpowermagazine.com.
