Sao Paulo state water utility Sabesp will receive $26.7m from the federal government to undertake several water supply projects in Brazil.
The town of Cananéia will receive R$14m ($7.75m) in funding, which will be used to expand water supply in Itapitanqui, Porto Cubatão and Morro São João.
The utility will build a water intake system, treatment plant, pumping station, four reservoirs, and a water mains system with 11.6km of pipeline, reports Business News Americas.
The towns of Guariba and Espírito Santo do Pinhal will receive R$10.8m ($5.98m) and R$10.6m ($5.86m) respectively.
