Brazilian development bank BNDES will give R$178.6m ($97.6m) to sanitation firms Sanepar and CESAN to upgrade water projects in the state of Paraná.
Sanepar will receive R$134.6m to renovate water supply systems and develop sewage systems.
The investments will allow Sanepar to enhance water supplies in line with the increase in population.
CESAN will receive R$44m to expand the sewage treating system in Espírito Santo.
The scope of work will involve implementing 12 raw sewage pumping stations, building new connections and expanding a sewage treatment plant at Manguinhos.
