Tetra Tech expands water data management services with Indus acquisition


Consulting and engineering services provider Tetra Tech has acquired Indus, based in Vienna, Virginia, US.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Indus is an information technology company focused on providing data analytics, geospatial analysis, and software applications management to US federal government customers.

Tetra Tech chairman and CEO Dan Batrack said: "Integrating Tetra Tech's top-ranked water management consulting experience with Indus's spatial and water information management capabilities expands our services for key clients such as the US Environmental Protection Agency."

"Indus will be now part of Tetra Tech's water, environment and infrastructure business segment."

Tetra Tech expects that with the combined expertise, it can assist customers in managing large data repositories and expand smart water services, including analysis and real-time decision-making.

Terms and conditions of the acquisition have not been revealed.

Indus will be now part of Tetra Tech's water, environment and infrastructure business segment.
