Tri-Tech wins water and wastewater projects in China

Tri-Tech Holding will provide services to procure water supply equipments in China.

Tri-Tech Holding, a China-based turnkey solutions provider of water resources management, water and wastewater treatment, industrial safety and pollution control, has secured several contracts in the country.

Under the contract, the company will provide wastewater treatment services and flash flood early warning and forecasting systems, and procure water supply equipment.

The total value of all the projects put together is about RMB20.15m ($3.2m).

Tri-Tech Holding will provide services related to the procurement of water supply system for three real estate projects and for a new university project in Beijing, China.

The company will also provide wastewater treatment procurement services for a new subway station in Beijing.

In addition, Tri-Tech will supply flash flood early warning and forecasting systems for several counties in the Chinese provinces of Guangxi, Fujian and Hubei.

Tri-Tech Holding joint CEO Gavin Cheng said the company has achieved noticeable growth in the water and water resource management market in the final quarter of 2012.

"At the same time we are seeking new business opportunities, we are also working with a top quality advisory firm to streamline our organisational structure to reduce our costs and expenses while maintaining efficiency," Cheng added.

"We believe these efforts will help us control our operational expenses."

Tri-Tech is expecting to complete all the water supply projects between the end of December 2012 and April 2013, with flash flood forecasting projects completion anticipated between March 2013 and August 2013.
