Vissering Construction has started work on phase two of construction to build a four-million-gallon a day water treatment plant (WTP) in the US city of Princeton, Illinois.
The $19m new plant will replace the existing plant, which has capacity of 1.58 million gallons a day.
It will house a processing facility, offices and a garage. Work will begin this week and operations are expected to start in 2013, reports BCR news.
The $23.5m first phase involved the construction of four new wells and well houses, piping and lagoons.
Funding for the project has been secured from federal and state sources, in addition with local money.
