Xylem Water Solutions has started operations in India and plans to invest $22m over the next three years in projects in the country.
The investment will be used to establish a test and research facility at Vadodora, Gujarat, reports The Hindu Business Line.
The Indian subsidiary will serve the power, irrigation and wastewater treatment business segments, as well as provide services to both local and overseas customers.
Sam Yamdagni, Xylem Water Solutions president and managing director, said the company is planning to leverage the firm's global reach, experience and local expertise in order to help India develop new infrastructure.
