With the new Liqui-Port 2000 Endress+Hauser now offers a portable water sampler of the latest generation. The samples are taken with the aid of a peristaltic pump. Sample volumes of 20 to 9999 ml can be taken from a suction height of 6 metres over a maximum distance of 30 metres. The samples taken can be automatically distributed into different bottles. In addition to the standard composite container (20 l) various sample distribution systems such as 12×2 l, 24×1 l and 12×1 l + 6×2 l are available.
Changing between distribution systems is simple and can be done without tools.
With its low empty weight of only 15.5 kg and the powerful built-in battery the Liqui-Port 2000 can be applied as a mobile and independently powered unit. The sample hose rinse function makes it possible to apply the water sampler at various sampling points without the fear of falsifying the sample trough stipping.
When setting up the sampler the user comes across the already well known ASP-Station 2000 controller. Operation is interactive and menu led (large illuminated display) and due to the built-in ‘Quick set-up’ is extremely easy.
However, the Liqui-Port 2000 is more than just a water sampler.
The unit can monitor and store measured flow rates, the number of samples taken, event and faults with date and time. Using the integrated serial interface all these stored data can be read out and analysed on a PC, locally or even from remote, including the possibility to make configurations. The Liqui-Port 2000 is fitted with an analogue input, two digital inputs and two digital outputs. Due to this it is possible to sample not only at preset time intervals, but by connecting the digital or analogue measured signal samples can be taken dependent on preset flow quantities or even flow proportionally. By connecting the digital input a sample can also be taken on an external signal, for example, in an alarm condition.
Just a few of the simple handling and user friendliness of the unit are:
