Advanced 365 to support IT infrastructure for UK’s £4.2bn Thames Tideway Tunnel project

Software solution provider Advanced 365 will be responsible for the deployment and management of IT infrastructure for Tideway which is the operator for the £4.2bn Thames Tideway Tunnel project.

Advanced 365, which is a division of Advanced Computer Software Group, has won the project through a competitive tendering process.

Under the terms of the deal, the firm will offer its Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution for the ‘super sewer’ project that can help in improvement of network security, efficiency and collaboration for Tideway staff.

Expected to extend for 25km, the tunnel will have the capacity for 39 million tonnes of untreated sewage that overflows into the Thames in a typical year.

The firm will deliver a portfolio of 24/7 mission critical managed services across all desktop applications and associated mobile and tablet devices for Tideway, which will include multiple core business systems as well as business productivity solutions.

The offered solutions will be hosted within a private cloud at Advanced 365’s tier III data centre and be supported with a robust service level agreement (SLA) and full back-up and disaster recovery services for emergency situations.
