Linde introduces bulk oxygen and oxygenation systems to address water treatment issues

Linde, a member of Linde Group, has unveiled new bulk oxygen and oxygenation systems, which are claimed to treat water cost-effectively.

The oxygenation systems are said to control BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) and associated odours. The pure oxygen improves the efficiency of aeration water treatment systems.

The firm’s pure oxygen injection and diffusion systems will increase dissolved oxygen levels more efficiently than aeration systems, said Linde.

Linde said that the system can address issues such as plant odour, which creates community issues, as well as treat excess BOD, which could raise water treatment compliance issues from authorities.

Linde provides bulk liquid oxygen, which offers high-efficiency aerobic water treatment and booster systems that meet emerging or emergency water treatment control needs.

According to the company, SOLVOX oxygenation offers different types of oxygen delivery and control systems.

For water treatment, the company supplies bulk gases for ozonation systems, which will be used to reduce waterborne bacteria and limit the use of chlorine.

In addition, the company supplies bulk liquid carbon dioxide, which will reduce the pH of high-alkalinity wastewater without hazardous mineral acids.

The company supplies bulk industrial gases through a nationwide production and distribution network, which includes approximately 200 locations.

Linde produces bulk oxygen with around 30 air separation plants and is completing two new plants in La Porte of Texas and Lewisville of Arkansas.
