AECOM Secures UK Water Contract

AECOM Technology, in a joint venture with Galliford Try, has secured a $532m contract from Yorkshire Water to build a water treatment plant in the UK.

The AECOM and Galliford Try joint venture, called ETM, secured the design and build contract for a new water treatment facility and to upgrade the existing wastewater treatment facilities at Calder Vale in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The five-year contract was awarded by Yorkshire Water under an infrastructure improvement programme and the work will be split between four entities.

AECOM is expected to generate revenues of $209m during the five-year time frame.
