US City to Expand Water Treatment Plant

Bossier City in Louisiana, US, is to invest $72m in boosting the capacity of a water treatment plant on Hamilton Road.

In addition to the construction of a new plant, the project will include the rehabilitation of the existing water treatment plant, which is expected to be completed in 2013.

The expansion of the water plant will increase its capacity to 45 million gallons of water a day.

The original water treatment plant was constructed in 1958 and processes 25 million gallons of water per day, according to shreveporttimes.com.
