Caesb to Tender $66m Sewage Contract

Brazilian water utility Caesb is to launch a R$110m ($66m) tender by June 2011 for the construction of a sewerage system for Grande Colorado, Sao Bartolomeu and Jardim Botanico.

The water utility is expected to obtain R$35m ($20.8m) from phase I of the country’s growth acceleration plan for sewerage works in the Sobradinho administrative region’s Grande Colorado neighbourhood, according to waterworld.com.

Approximately R$65m ($38.7m) will come from phase II of the growth acceleration plan and R$10m ($6m) from other sources, which will be invested in extending the sewage system to Sao Bartolomeu and Jardim Botanico.
