Taliworks to Take Over Four China Water Treatment Plants

Taliworks is to take over four municipal wastewater plants with recycling facilities in the city of Yinchuan, China, on its own after it failed to formalise a joint venture with Beijing Puresino-Boda Environmental Engineering.

The Malaysia-based Taliworks said it will take over the plants for CNY810m ($123m) on a takeover-operate-transfer basis.

Taliworks, in a joint venture with Beijing Puresino-Boda Environmental Engineering, had signed an agreement with the city of Yinchuan on 25 August 2010.

The agreement stipulated that the joint venture, in which Taliworks has a 70% stake, would take over the four plants and operate them for 30 years.

Taliworks will seek another partner for the projects, according to theedgemalaysia.com.
