Pima County Completes First Phase of Sewer Project

Pima County in Arizona, US, has completed the first phase of a large-scale sewer project, with completion of the entire project expected in 2015.

Pima County installed a 72in sewer line between the Ina Road wastewater treatment site and the Roger Road plant at a cost of $41m, according to Arizona Daily Star.

The pipeline will carry waste water between the plants while the Roger site is shut down for construction, and will transfer sewage to Ina.

The second phase of the $212m project was awarded to MWH Constructors. The work includes the expansion of the Ina Road treatment plant.

The final stage of the project involves the total reconstruction of the Roger Road plant for $164m. It will be completed by January 2015.
