Samsung Commissions Hyder for Bahrain Sewage Plant

Samsung Engineering has contracted Hyder Consulting to provide detailed design services for the Muharraq sewage treatment plant and flow conveyance scheme in Bahrain.

Hyder will provide a full detailed design of the sewage treatment plant, deep gravity sewer, waste water connection networks, intermediate lift station, terminal lift station and long sea outfall.

Hyder will also provide a civil, architectural and structural design and review of the process and a MEICA design for the sludge incinerator plant.

The project will collect and treat waste water to a high standard, and ensure that treated effluent can be reused, Samsung said.

Construction of the plant is expected to be completed by August 2013 and the plant will be operational for 25 years.
