Zhaoyuan Dye Factory to Use Teijin Technology to Treat Wastewater

Chinese firm Zhaoyuan Advanced Chemical will use Teijin’s multi-stage activated biological process (MSABP) system and electro catalytic method treatment (ELCAT) system to treat wastewater at its flourescent dye factory.

The MSABP system is designed to enable wastewater treatment with reduced sludge, lower energy consumption, low maintenance and low cost.

ELCAT is a two-stage wastewater treatment system that treats dyes, herbicides, phenols, cyanide and other organic matter that cannot be eliminated biologically.

With the combination of the two technologies, Teijin will decompose and eliminate persistent organic substances.

Teijin is also collaborating with the rural community of Yixing in Jiangsu Province to field-test a system for sewage treatment.
