Chilean Utility to Use TaKaDu Water Infrastructure Monitoring Technology

The water infrastructure monitoring technology of Israel’s TaKaDu is to be used to improve the water services of Chilean water utility Aguas de Antofagasta.

Aguas de Antofagasta supplies water to the city of Antofagasta and the surrounding copper mines, and desalinates most of its water supplies.

The technology will use existing meter and sensor readings and advanced algorithms to detect, alert and accurately identify network problems such as leaks, bursts and other inefficiencies.

According to Aguas de Antofagasta general manager Marco Kutulas Peet, better management of the water network will reduce the firm’s energy costs and help it meet greater water demand while ensuring the optimal use of water.
