NEDA Confirms Metro Manila Wastewater Management Project

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) of the Philippines has confirmed that it will carry out the $275m Metro Manila Wastewater Management (MWM) project to improve Manila’s wastewater services.

The MWM project will increase the coverage and effectiveness of sewage collection and treatment, improve septage management, and enhance the quality of water of Manila Bay, according to NEDA.

The Land Bank of the Philippines will use a World Bank loan to fund the project.

The project was approved by the Cabinet Committee of the NEDA-Investment Coordination Committee.
